[00:10.68]Now that we’ve prepared ourselves to worship,
[00:12.81]the Spirit can begin to lead us in expressing that worship
[00:16.29]in the way that would please God most.
[00:18.84]And one of the first things the Holy Spirit desires to lead us into
[00:22.89]is the very embrace of the Father. For as the Word says, we
[00:27.87]have been given the spirit of sonship and can cry “Abba Father.”
[00:32.55]In our day that would be like saying “Papa God.”
[00:35.76]That’s not irreverence; that’s intimacy with the Father.
[00:40.17]He desires for us to be as little children—
[00:43.32]crawl upon His lap and say, “Abba Father.”
[00:48.45]One of the acts of worship that pleases Him most is when
[00:51.51]we call to mind different attributes of His character with praise:
[00:55.17]like His power, His mercy, His holiness.
[01:00.27]He has revealed Himself as Jehovah Shammah,
[01:02.52]the God whose Presence is with us;
[01:04.56]as Jehovah Shalom, the God who is our peace;
[01:07.71]as Jehovah Ropheh, the Lord who heals us.
[01:11.25]And He wants us to acknowledge who He is—as we worship.
